New-Product Strategy:
Problem: I have always dreamt of having a house that consisted of mostly windows, but my biggest fear is people seeing inside.
Solution: I would develop a window that would allow sunshine to come in but not make it possible for people to see in. (Not even see shadows). Also, the window would have a dimmer to adjust the amount of sunlight you would want to come in. (example: in a bedroom, you could adjust the dimmer to allowing no sun light in on a day you don't have to get up early.)
Idea Generation: The product would target anyone building a new house. It comes from the wants of the customer.
Idea Screening: Tests would be ran to make sure other customers would be interested in such a product.
Business Analysis: Developers would determine that the windows would come in different sizes at different prices ranging from $100+ .
Development: Different prototypes would be made. The different types may consist of different glass, tinter, or dimmer switches.
Test Marketing: All windows would be tested, to make sure sunlight can come in and the dimmer switched worked accordingly. Also, not being able to see in from the outside would be included in the testing of the product.
Commercialization: The new windows would be featured in commercials or magazines , as well as on home and garden shows.
